All of us moms know exactly how fast kids go through a bottle of baby formula. Well, don't throw those cans away! Make use of them! How? Here are some ideas to make trash something to treasure!
Make a decorative pen holder or junk catcher for your child's teacher. Use scrapbooking paper or make a collage with magazine cutouts, and design the outside. Then, add some cool pencils and send it to school with your child--a perfect give for teacher appreciation days!
Step2
Use them in the baby's room! I decorate mine to match the nursery, and then use them for baby spoons, binkies (one for clean ones and one for dirty ones--ick!), socks (if the pair make it out of the dryer monster together!) and other small items that need to be handy.
Step3
Decorate them with Christmas gift wrap and use them to put homemade candies and cookies in during the holidays to give to friends and family.
Step4
Use them in the playroom to store crayons, markers, paintbrushes, and other drawing tools, so that they all have their own home!
Step5
Use them in your kitchen to hold plastic bags--cut an X into the top lid, and then pull your bags out from there! No more bags all over the cupboards!
Step6
Have your husband put them to use! Store nuts, bolts, hinges, and other handyman supplies for quick and easy access!
Tips & Warnings
Be sure to wash them out and dry them completely before using them for anything--you don't want them to rust!
Be very careful of sharp edges if using around children--sharp items + little kids = BIG danger!
