1/2 cup shortening 1 egg 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 4 Tablespoons cocoa 1/2 cup sour milk* 2 cups chocolate chips 2 cups shredded zucchini

In a mixing bowl combine shortening, egg, vegetable oil and sugar. Combine flour, soda and cocoa. Add to shortening mixture alternately with sour milk. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and zucchini. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan.

bake at 35 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Dust cooled cake with powdered sugar, or frost as desired.
Tips & Warnings
To make sour milk, add 1 teaspoon white vinegar to 1/2 cup milk and let set for a few minutes.
