Some people think that the child's nerves will make the first day of school difficult, but it won't. It is real easy to get little ones ready for the first day of school with a little encouragement and praise.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • encouragement
  • praise
  • all their supplies
  • positive attitude
  • patience
Step1
Children will be nervous but explaining to them what fun they will have in school will help. Try to remeber what you did or neices or other children you have known. Explain to them the stuff they will get to do and learn and it will perk them up.
Step2
Make sure they have all their supplies up the night before. They will be encouraged that they did it theirselves. It will help boost their confidence so that they can go off to school and be the big boy or girl they know they can be. Make sure they put their backpacks where they can find them. Independence is the main booster of my children when it comes to going to school happy.
Step3
Lots of kisses, praise, encouragment and lots of patience also go a long way. They know that you are not nervous and they know you love them. If my children see I am relaxed and excited about them going to school then they perk up and have a better chance of enjoying their day.

Tips & Warnings

  • Meeting their teachers and other classmates helps them as well.
  • You can never give too many praises or kisses!
  • Be encouraging, don't yell or fuss. That would give them the opposite of what you are trying to do.
