How to restring beads, pearls or any other jeweled neckaces or bracelets. Its easy and fun. You may want to mix and match your necklace jewels and have a totally new piece of jewelry

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bonded nylon thread, i use #B size.
  • beading needle, these are long and very thin to fit thru the holes in the beads or pearls
  • clasp of some sort if you wish to be able to take it off, especially for a bracelet.
  • patience, if its worth fixing, its worth fixing right.
  1. Step 1

First, place all your beads in a tray or use a disposible type food keeper. Your thread should be cut roughly 36" long, and threaded into your beading needle.

  2. Step 2

Second, take one bead and slide it all the way to the end of your thread and tie it there to keep the rest from sliding off. Often I use a bead that I wont be using in this necklace, as it will be discarded when done.

  3. Step 3

Now thread your beads or pearls onto your needle in the order you wish them to be. Once you are satisified with the lenght, if its a bracelet, attach your findings securely. If it is a necklace, tie off ends together with a double square knot.. I usually add a spot of jewelers glue to secure the knot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Its fun to mix and match when you are tired of wearing the same old jewelry.. Pearls mixed with other semi precious stones are alot of fun to mix to match your outfits.
  • keep all small beads and jewelery pieces away from small children.. choking warning !!!
