- wax with a high melting point
- a metal container
- vegetable oil spray
- a melting pot
- an old pot to boil water in
- a wooden spoon or chopstick for stirring
-
Step 1
break up your wax into chunks. You can take your block of wax, insert it into a bag, close the bag, and prop up the block of wax against a wall, brick etc, take a hammer and hammer the wax until chunks of wax break away.

Step 2
fill up an old pot with water. The pot should be large enough to hold the melting pot which will hold your wax.
Insert your melting pot with the wax pieces in it, and bring water to a boil. -
Step 3
When the water is boiling stir the wax until all of the wax is melted. Then pour the melted wax into a metal container (any shape you want) that has been greased with a vegetable oil
-
Step 4
Let the wax harden to approximately 1/4 to 3/8's of an inch around the insides of the container, and then pour the remaining melted wax out into the melting pot.
-
Step 5
You can speed up the hardening of the wax by inserting the container into a fridge or freezer once you have poured out the center wax
