Step1
I have had a number of jobs that gave me mentors. Which believed that Affirmations work. I put the little notes on my mirror looking at them everyday saying them everyday. My mentors even took me to look at houses I dreamed of and cars that I wanted in my life. I didn't get the cars or the house. So that made me think that affirmations don't work.
I believe in postive energy and negative energy and what we put out comes back to us.
Step2
I was talking with a friend and I told them to take back what they said cause it would bring it to life. Thats when it dawned on me that my mentors really didn't understand the most important part about affirmations.
Step3
All those negative words we might use in a day can turn a good postive affirmation into nothing. I will give a example of what I mean.
When we use the word "don't" it is negative even when we say it in a sentence like this one.
Please, don't be late. You would think why is it negative when they don't want to be late. Isn't that a good thing.
What should be said is I am going to be on time and most likely you will.
Step4
Here is the trick. We have to think postive and be happy when doing a affirmation. Then we need to keep in check what we are feeling and saying to ourselves. This means self talk. That is when we talk to ourselves. If something bad happen and it upset us. We spend a good hour on it after the fact thinking about it. Which gives it power.
Step5
Ok, so we have to learn how to change the way we think so good things can come to us. When something bad happens and you find yourself doing the self talking getting even more upset. Think of something good or even better think of a way that what just happen could of ended in a postive way. I don't mean you getting even. I mean you thinking of a good postive way that it could of ended so next time you will know what to do. Lets give postive energy its chance. Be perpared think of five things that make you happy. Whenever you feel angry or depressed or afraid use them to change the way you are thinking and feeling.
It works.
Step6
With all this said. Here is what you have been waiting for. How to make affirmations work for you.
Make sure what your asking for is clear. Then keep your feelings in check and remember with postive enegry you will get more back.
Then feel what it would feel like to recieve it. This means really stop and think what would it feel like to hold____ or have____.
Then with your minds eye visualize it happening.
Then send it out to the universe.
Then anytime after doing this you visualize it as if it is so.
Example:
New car is what you want. You see yourself buying it then after that when you visualize it you are driving it or picking up your best friend in it. so forth and ect.....
