Do you have sweaters in your closet that you hesitate to wear because they're pilled? Those little balls of fabric can really ruin the look of a sweater or other piece of clothing. Here's how to remove pilling.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
One of the simplest ways to remove pilling is to use the sticky side of velro.Simply lay the velcro sticky side down on the pilled areas and pull it off. The pills should come off on the velcro.
Step2
Duct tape can be used in much the same way as velcro to remove pilling from sweaters.
Step3
A third option to remove pilling is to buy a battery operated shaver designed for removing pilling from sweaters. They can be found inexpensively at most drugstores. Follow the directions carefully and practice on an old article you don't care about before trying it on your nice sweaters.
Step4
To prevent future pilling, wash sweaters by hand and lay them out flat. Avoid machine washing.
