Perfect Cajun appetizer to any meal (not spicy)

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 pounds of unpeeled shrimp, leave heads on
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup (or 1/2 small can tomato sauce)
  • 5 slices bread, slightly torn into pieces
  • salt, pepper, Tony's seasoning, garlic and dried parsley to taste
  1. Step 1

    In a large, heavy skillet, cook onion in vegetable oil until clear.

  2. Step 2

    Add shrimp, water and ketchup, mixing gently. Bring ingredients to a boil then simmer for about 15 minutes, leaving some water.

  3. Step 3

    Add bread to thicken sauce. Season to desired taste.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remove heads, peel tails and enjoy!
  • DO NOT OVERCOOK because heads will fall off.
