If you are like me, you have active children who need lots of activity going on. Here are some helpful tips on how to keep your active children happy and satisfied.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Tip 1: get a medium basket and fill it with construction paper, glue sticks, and kid scissors. Place the basket in the center of a table and have each child sit in a chair. Then, let them go at it! This simple activity will keep them busy for hours! Your kids will create the most amazing things from paper and glue!
Step2
Tip 2: Set a box of legos, K-Nex, Zome Tools, or even blocks in the middle of the floor and start to build something yourself. After the kids migrate towards what you are doing, which they will, quietly set you creation aside and let them continue playing. Or, keep creating! It's fun for adults as well!
Step3
Tip 3: Set blocks of sculpey clay on a table and have each child sit around it. They will create things out of the clay for hours. Sculpey is soft until you bake it, so there is no need to rush the creativity. After they are finished, you can bake their creations, which they can play with for even longer!

Tips & Warnings

  • Very young children should be supervised when using clay and scissors.

on 7/23/2008 YES!! PlayDoh is always a big hit in our house too. And, with the school supply sales going on right now, it is on sale in some stores. Great article!
