Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Chocolate
  • Cheese
  • Vegetables
  • Fruit
  • Skewers
  • Pretzels
  • Marshmallows
  • Friends
  • Music
  1. Step 1

Buy a fondue kit and chocolate at your local craft store or Target. Purchase your cheese at your local food market. Gather some wooden skewers, dessert plates, and cocktail napkins. Melt your chocolate and cheese according to the directions.

  2. Step 2

For chocolate fondue, have an array of fruit, pretzels, marshmallows, pound cake, brownies, and small butter cookies.

  3. Step 3

For cheese fondue, have an array of breads, tortilla chips, vegetables, and soft pretzels.

  4. Step 4

Display all your food, fondue, skewers, plates, and napkins on a table or counter. Light some candles around your masterpiece, display wooden skewers in a nice glass so people can take their skewer themselves.

  5. Step 5

Add a chocolate theme by offering chocolate martinis, hot chocolate, and other chocolate drinks.

  6. Step 6

When your guests are ready to leave, give them a gift - a chocolate spoon to take home! Just buy plastic spoons, Wilton candy melts, lollipop plastic covers, and ribbon. Simply melt the chocolate, dip the spoon (two times is fine), put in fridge and when chocolate is hard drizzle white chocolate on the spoon. Cover with plastic cover and add a ribbon.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wooden skewers work well for sanitation reasons. They can be thrown out and replaced.

on 7/21/2008 My best friend and I have wanted to host a fondue party for ages. I inherited my vintage fondue set from my mother (never used fad that it was)! Thanks for tips and tricks!
