Life’s journey teaches us many things, but one of the major things we learn early on is that nothing stays the same and everything changes. Seasons change, day changes into night, people change, and time never stands still. Yes, change happens every moment of every day; BUT there is One Who never changes. Scripture says He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Things You'll Need:

  • Holy Bible
  • Quiet Time for Prayer and Meditation
  • A Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ
  1. Step 1

Get to know God on an intimate level. Learn about His character and personal attributes through study and a daily quiet time with Him (Exodus 34:6-7).

  2. Step 2

Learn to trust God, especially in areas that you’ve never dared to trust Him before. He promises to do some wonderful and miraculous things when you trust and obey Him (Zephaniah 3:17).

  3. Step 3

Take God at His Word. He has never broken a promise nor made idle boasts. What He says He will do ALWAYS comes to pass (2 Corinthians 1:20).

  4. Step 4

Meditate on His unchanging nature and constancy. “For I am the LORD, I change not..." (Malachi 3:6).

  5. Step 5

Pray His Word without ceasing. All through the day, whisper a Scripture prayer of praise to God. Put the laundry list of your wants and needs aside for a few moments and honor, revere and thank Him for just being God (Psalm 34)!

  6. Step 6

Run to Him for protection and safety. Throughout the Bible God speaks of His concern for your welfare. He is your dwelling place, refuge, fortress, and a very present help. You can call on Him in prayer and He is mighty to save, protect and keep you (Psalm 18 – The Message).

  7. Step 7

Accept the FACT that He truly LOVES you, takes great delight in you and rejoices over you with singing. Yes, God sings about you (Zephaniah 3:17)!

  8. Step 8

Abide in Him. God will pour out His love to you until you are filled with peace, rest and strength to live the life He has purposed for you (John 15).

  9. Step 9

Let Him take charge of your life. He will direct your path and order your steps. (Proverbs 3:5-6). Commit whatever you do to Him and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3).

  10. Step 10

Believe that He is Who He says He is. God is everywhere (omnipresent), all powerful (omnipotent), all knowing (omniscient) and so much more. All you have to do to know Him personally is to accept His FREE Gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ, who through His death, burial and resurrection enables you to enjoy God’s promises and blessings (1 John 5:11-13).
