Things You'll Need:

  • 0 to 3000 hours
  • National Certification

  1. Step 1

Make a decision on what type of massage therapy you would like to do such as reflexology, acupressurist, aromatherapy massage practitioner, relaxation massage, or Shiatsu practitioner.

  2. Step 2

Examine your beliefs and morals when deciding which type of massage therapy to pursue as some types may be more in line with who you are than other types.

  3. Step 3

Do your research. Massage therapist contact hour requirements range from 0 to 3000 hours. British Columbia College of Massage Therapists requires a minimum of 3000 hours in order to use certain job titles.

  4. Step 4

Decide which school you want to attend based on financial, personal, and ethic criteria. This is the certificate/degree that you will possess for the rest of your life. Know your options in order to make the right choice.

  5. Step 5

Gather financial documents and other student documents to send to your academic advisor so he can help you with the enrollment process.

Tips & Warnings
