    Tips & Warnings

    • Make sure all connections are secure before turning your computer back on.

    • If after you install the drive and reboot your system you have trouble, check again to make sure your cables are secure. This will generally solve the problem. If not, check with customer support with the DVD-ROM vendor for assistance.

    • Make sure to discharge static electricity by touching the metal casing before touching any internal portion of the computer, or wear the anti-static bracelet during the installation process.

    • If you are unsure of discharge, make sure you touch a metal surface like the casing of your computer before touching any internal part of the system, or the new DVD-ROM drive.

    • Be careful not to drop your DVD-ROM; but, relax if you do because in most cases, it will still work.
