Would like to do some selling on eBay but want a way to save money on eBay shipping? If so, you may be surprised to learn that the post office is your best friend! And besides saving money, you'll have the added bonus of being able to do eBay selling and even run an Ebay business without going to the post office at all. Read on to find out to save money on eBay shipping.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer with internet connection.
  • A printer.
  1. Step 1

Log onto the USPS.com website and click on 'Supplies' at the bottom, lefthand side of the page.

  2. Step 2

Click on either 'Priorty' or 'Flat Rate' boxes in the supplies section and notice how the price is listed as 'No Charge'. The USPS will deliver these boxes in quantities of ten or more to your door for free!

  3. Step 3

Return to the USPS home page and click on 'Print Online Postage'. Now click on 'Click N' Ship' and fill out the information needed to print Express or Priority postage for free from your computer.

  4. Step 4

You can also go through eBay to print USPS Priority, Overnight/Express, First Class, Media Mail, and Parcel Post postage with your computer. International mail options are also available. You can even pay with your Paypal account. Click on the eBay link of the 'Print Online Postage' page mentioned above for more info.

  5. Step 5

Now go back to the USPS home page and click on 'Schedule A Pickup' at the top of the page. Fill out the info to schedule a next day pickup at your door for free! This option is available for Express, Priority, International, and Return shipments.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the items you're selling will support Priority Mail shipping charges, this will provide you with the most ease in your eBay activities. Priority Mail boxes are available in three, flat-rate sizes so you can send anything you can fit into that box for a flat rate ranging from $4.80 to $12.95.
  • By using Priority Mail flat rate boxes you will have the convenience of free shipping boxes delivered to your door, no shipping cost calculations, postage printed from your computer through either the USPS or eBay websites, and free package pickup at your door. It doesn't get any easier than that!

on 7/14/2008 Wow, thanks for the article! I knew this mailing method was possible, but didn't know the details. This method can be used to not only sell from eBay, but for any other mailing situations, I believe. 5 stars
