How to Choose Baby Shower Party Favors

Typical baby shower favors are adorable and suit the theme of the party in adorable pinks and blues. Instead of sending the guests home with a cute plastic bottle that they don't need, however, choose treats that the guests will find darling and also be able to use long after the party is over. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Find candles through novelty websites designed to resemble baby-themed items like buggies or bottles. When they get home, guests can just remove the top or exterior and have a classic candle to adorn their nightstand or bathroom counter (see Resources).

    • 2

Fill small spice jars with items like personalized M&Ms, pastel-colored mints or pink and blue buttons. The women will be able to keep the containers on a desk to hold sweet treats or use them to hold jewelry, coins or other trinkets.

    • 3

Choose a whimsical toy beloved by babies and adults alike like rubber duckies. Not only will they look adorable gathered in a bowl as a table centerpiece, but the guests can also use them as cool tub toys when they get home.

    • 4

Print the baby's name (if you know it in advance) on pens and blue and pink notepads or a cute quote about babies or motherhood. Everyone will definitely use them for "to do" lists or as reminders for the grocery store, for example.

Order egg timers, which always come in handy in the kitchen or during family game nights in cute boxes printed with the fun phrase, "about to hatch." You can also create your own versions by placing timers in small gift bags with tags you've created with cardstock and stickers.
