2. Check the pesticide tanks often to ensure there are no leaks, cracks, excessive corrosion or other damage. You should also check the release mechanism regularly to test for malfunctions. 3. Clean the plane often. Just as you wash your car, you should also be washing your crop dusting plane. This should be done in the same area every time to avoid getting pesticides in the ground water. It should also be done in an area with a water drainage that flows into a contained area, not the sewer system.

4. Dispose of the leftover crop dusting chemicals properly and safely. Crop dusting chemicals are dangerous to be handled and must be disposed of properly.
