Almost all people have combination skin or an oily T-zone on the forehead and nose and dryer skin on the cheeks and chin. Regardless of your skin type, exfoliation is an important part of your skin care regime, as it helps to remove dead skin cells and oily buildup. Additionally, exfoliating skin can help to equalize combination skin types.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Oatmeal scrubs
  • Sugar scrubs
  • Salt scrubs
  • Loofah body sponge
  • Body wash
  • Loofah facial sponge
  • Mild facial cleanser
  • Dry brush for skin
  1. Step 1

Exfoliate combination skin each and every day, making it a regular part of your bathing routine. It is best to exfoliate skin in the morning before you apply moisturizers and sunscreens.

  2. Step 2

Choose a gentle exfoliant for daily exfoliation, such as oatmeal scrubs, sugar scrubs or salt scrubs. You can use these scrubs on your entire body, including your face, each day for beautiful skin.

  3. Step 3

Use a loofah sponge two or three times a week for deeper exfoliation. Large loofah sponges can be used with a cleansing product to wash and exfoliate the skin at the same time. Smaller, less abrasive loofahs are available for the facial area and you should use them with a mild facial cleanser.

  4. Step 4

Dry brush your skin four or five times a week. A dry skin brush not only helps to exfoliate the skin, it stimulates the lymphatic system which is responsible for the elimination of toxins from the body. As the lymphatic system becomes regulated, combination skin should regulate and equalize. You can use dry brushes on the entire body, including the face.

Tips & Warnings
  • When exfoliating the skin, apply your chosen product with gentle massaging circles. Always use gentle pressure to help prevent skin damage.
