How to Download Trend Micro HijackThis Free
HijackThis, created by security software manufacturer Trend Micro, is a free program that scans a computer system and detects unauthorized and unwanted system changes made by hack programs, such as spyware and malware, that you didn't even know were on the system. HijackThis then creates a log that details the scan results so you can see exactly what settings have been changed.

Navigate to the Trend Micro home page and click on the "See All Products & Solutions" quick link at the top of the page.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you reach the "Free Tools and Services" subheading at the left of the page. Click either the "Download" link next to "HijackThis" to begin the program download, or click the "HijackThis" link to go to the HijackThis page.

Click the "Download HijackThis Installer" link at the bottom of the download page.

Download and install the program. Select "Run" from the download pop-up menu.

Choose to run the program immediately or not. Select "Run" or "Don't Run" from the post download pop-up menu.

Download the HijackThis program in the form of a zip file from the download page if you want to download to a thumb drive and install the program on different computers.
