How to Make a Minty Fresh Fingernail Whitener

Maintaining your fingernails not only makes them more attractive and polished, it also keeps them healthy. Fingernails are naturally white and any discoloration could indicate a health problem. If you have stained nails, you can whiten them at home in only a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Use a toothbrush to apply whitening toothpaste to your nails in a circular, buffing motion. This may require a few applications and works best on yellow stains from dark nail polish colors.

2. Apply brush-on teeth whiteners. This may also take a few passes, depending on the severity of the discoloration. Don't get it on your skin, or it could dry it out. If you have any sort of reaction, discontinue use immediately.

3. Soak your fingertips in whitening mouthwash. This will work fairly quickly because of the intensity of the whitening agents. Wash your hands thoroughly and apply moisturizer afterwards.

4. Dissolve a denture tablet into a dish of water. Soak your fingertips for 10 minutes or longer if needed. You should see a difference almost immediately. Repeat the treatment if necessary.
