Place 1/4 cup of oatmeal in a clean coffee grinder to create a powder and then mix the powder with just enough rose water to make a paste. Massage the paste into your skin 2 or 3 times a week to help exfoliate dead skin cells, soften the skin and promote the healing of acne scars.

Cook about 1/4 cup of oatmeal and allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature. Add 5 drops of tea tree oil and 5 drops of lavender essential oil and then spread the warm oatmeal onto acne affected areas. Allow the oatmeal to dry completely and then rinse. The warmth of the oatmeal helps to draw out impurities while moisturizing the skin and the tea tree oil and lavender soothe irritation, promote healing of scars and eliminate the bacteria which cause acne in the first place.
