Instructions

    • 1

Choose a natural tea tree oil soap for daily use. Make sure that you wash acne affected areas twice a day with warm water and then pat dry to both combat future outbreaks and promote healthy skin growth.

    • 2

Mix pure tea tree oil with water and make a skin toner to help remove excess oils and kill bacteria that causes acne that is sometimes left on the skin after washing. Mix 1 part oil with 3 parts water and apply lightly to affected areas with a cotton ball. For best results, use your tea tree toner after each time you wash your skin.

    • 3

Combine 10 drops of tea tree oil and 5 drops of lavender essential oil for every 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel to make your own healing skin moisturizer. Because tea tree oil is quite powerful, the moisturizing and skin regenerating power of aloe vera is a great way to hydrate skin without adding acne causing oils. Apply the gel and oil mixture evenly to acne and acne scars after washing and applying toner.

    • 4

Soak in a tea tree bath 2 or 3 times a week to help treat larger areas of the body affected by acne and acne scars. Draw a warm bath and add 20 to 30 drops of tea tree oil. If you are prone to dry skin, consider adding a nylon stocking with 1 cup of oatmeal and/or 1 cup of powdered milk to the bath. Soak for 15 or 20 minutes and apply your aloe vera and oil mixture after drying.
