How to Create Coupons for a Massage Therapy Business

Massage is an expensive service; there's no two ways about it. If you're trying to get new clients to come to your business, offering a coupon is a great way to do it. In addition, anytime you're offering a new service or product, putting out coupons not only entices interested clients, but also the coupon itself acts as a form of advertising.

Talk to a graphic design store. The service reps can help you figure out what you should put on the coupon, as well as design it for you. They might recommend using green paper as green stands for health, or using clip art of feet if you specialize in reflexology.

Use a word processor to make your own coupons. You can make a small ad with your business name and contact information on it, then add a coupon to the bottom. Doing two or four ads per page is best. Copy and cut them, then distribute them to local businesses, schools, etc. Tailor the coupon to your target market (i.e. give teachers a "teacher appreciation discount").

Put an ad on Google or another search engine. These services are free; you create a business listing that shows up on a local map when someone types in "massage" followed by your city. You can choose to add a coupon to your listing--the best type of coupon to put here is one for new clients (i.e. "10 percent off your first visit").

Consider taking out an ad in the local coupon books. These books usually come out once a month and the staff will design the ad for you. You have control over how the ad looks and what the print says, and since these come out monthly, you can create coupons centering around holidays and seasons (i.e. "$10 off Couple's Massage" during February).
