I pulled my husband’s dress shirts out of the dryer and discovered these weird blue markings all over them. Upon further investigation, I discovered the culprit, a blue crayon. If you have children (or a husband that uses crayons) this may happen to you!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Formula 409
  • Dish Washing or Laundry Detergent
  • Old Toothbrush
Step1
Spray a small amount of Formula 409 on a hidden area of the clothing to ensure fabric is colorfast.
Step2
Spray the crayon spot with 409. With an old toothbrush, gently work the 409 into the crayon mark.
Step3
Add a small drop of dish washing liquid or laundry detergent to the area and continue to gently scrub with the toothbrush.
Step4
Repeat with 409 and soap until the stain is no longer visible.
Step5
Launder the clothing again, as directed. Crayon catastrophe averted!!
