Make Chocolate Covered Grapes

Strawberries and bananas are always the norm to chocolate covered fruit. Although, they are heavenly scrumptious and oh, so good - chocolate covered grapes is the new twist to chocolate heaven!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Buy your favorite kind of chocolate and purchase some seedless grapes.

  2. Step 2

Melt your chocolate according to the directions on the package.

  3. Step 3

Cover small plate or baking sheet with wax paper. Dip each grape in the chocolate and place on wax paper. Put in freezer until chocolate is hardened.

Tips & Warnings
  • A small candy dipper would work well with grapes
  • Double dipping can be challenging with grapes. Better yet, drizzle white or darker chocolate on grapes after the original chocolate has hardened.
  • Frozen is always better as well as frozen is better with bananas.
  • Frozen fruits are hard to dip into chocolate as the fruit is so cold it will instantly freeze the chocolate leaving an uneven coating.
  • When working with unfrozen soft fruit, dip carefully.

on 7/21/2008 This sounds really good and something the kids would enjoy helping with too! Can't wait to try it! Do you think you could do an entire cluster at one time for a dramatic looking desert for parties as well? It is worth a shot!

on 7/17/2008 I really want to try these. It is definitely different! Watermelon and pineapple also go great with a chocolate fondue. I don't think they would be successful as a chocolate covered fruit though because they are so juicy.
