How to Celebrate Christmas in July

Christmas is a favorite time of year, so why wait 12 months to enjoy the spirit of gift giving, the warm feeling of Christmas colors and decor and the delicious food? There are many people who celebrate Christmas in July! Enjoy the true spirit of Christmas without the commercialism! You can celebrate all month long or just for a day or two. Celebrating Christmas twice a year is especially appealing to those who collect certain holiday memorabilia such as santa's, carolers, winter villages or nativities, giving them a chance to enjoy and display their collection again.

• Christmas Tree
• Christmas decorations
• Christmas Music
• Christmas Food and treats
• Hot Cocoa
• Good Cheer!

1. Unpack your favorite Christmas decorations and bring that cozy feeling back into your home. Put up your nativity set and if you have an artificial tree, set it back up and decorate it. Buy or make a few thoughtful gifts and place them under the tree.
2. Hang a white wreath.
3. Put in your favorite Christmas albums or sit down at the piano and try playing some Christmas tunes.
4. Bake up some of your favorite Christmas time treats like tree shaped sugar cookies or gingerbread men. Then enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa (perhaps with a splash of peppermint schnapps).
5. Throw a Christmas party to spread good cheer. You could arrange to do a secret santa gift exchange or a white elephant gift exchange at the party. Put on the air conditioner so everyone can sport their favorite Christmas sweater and enjoy a delicious feast of holiday food like Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, mashed potatoes, Stuffing, Dinner Rolls and Pumpkin Pie. Don't forget to light some candles!
6. Remember what it is that makes Christmas time magical for you and try to recreate that and have a good time! Is it just that warmth you get from having a Christmas tree in the house with the lights fading in and out? Then this is your month to put that tree back up and enjoy! For most people, it's just that time of year that is filled with love, kindness and cheer so get together with your loved ones, Christmas can come more than once a year!

Tips & Warnings

• If it just doesn't feel like Christmas without the snow, spray some artificial snow where you can and use snow blankets on a side table where you have your decorations such as a winter village, nativity, snowmen and santas.
• Enjoy the feeling of Christmas and the warm air together while listening to some Reggae Christmas Music.
• Celebrate Christmas in July however you think would be fun and however suits your style. You could put on a nativity display and make it totally traditional, or have fun with it and do something new and fun. Perhaps the christmas party could be a costume party and guests dress up as santa, elves, sexy elves (remember those cute pink victoria's secret santa outfits??? lol)...whatever you wanna do, just have fun and spread good cheer!
