Make a Miniature Frying Pan Using a Plastic Cap

Milk caps can be painted and made into miniature frying pans for refrigerator magnets or doll house furniture.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plastic milk cap or plastic black juice cap
  • black paint
  • small paint brush
  • pop can pull tab
  • E6000 glue
  • white dimensional paint
  • yellow foam egg carton or foam try
  • round hole punch
  1. Step 1

Paint milk cap black, or if you have a black juice cap, paint the inside black. Two coats may be needed. Let dry.

  2. Step 2

Glue pop can tab onto edge with E6000 glue, and support the pop tab with another spare milk cap until dry.

  3. Step 3

Paint pap can tab black and let dry.

  4. Step 4

With white dimensional paint, make two frying eggs.

  5. Step 5

Hole punch two circles of yellow egg carton or foam tray for the egg's yolks. Press gently into the center of white paint (use a tooth pick or tweezers if needed). Let dry.

  6. Step 6

If making these into magnets, turn completed project over, and with E6000 glue, adhere a round magnet. Let dry.

  7. Step 7

Don't forget to wash out your paint brushes when you are done with them.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make pancakes, blueberry pancakes and omelets with craft materials.
  • Spice lids and other juices use black plastic lids.
  • E6000 glue should be used in a ventilated room, and parental guidance is recommended for young children.
