Things You'll Need:
- Water
- Fan or air-conditioner
-
Step 1
Drink cold water. The heat often makes us dehydrated and in need of something to drink, so keep a bottle of cold water whenever you are outside.
-
Step 2
Carry a cold wet towel with you, especially if you are working outdoors in the heat. Another alternative is keeping a spray bottle full of cold water with you so you can spray your face, chest, arms and legs.
-
Step 3
Wear light-colored clothing. Bright colors such as white, pink, yellow or orange help attract less heat and sweat to your body.
-
Step 4
Try to stay indoors as often as possible. High temperatures often soars between late morning and well into the afternoon hours, so spend some time under the fan or air conditioner while relaxing.
-
Step 5
Spend some time in the water. Go to a swimming pool or the beach, or have a water-soaking competition with friends in your backyard.
