A re-emergence of sugar-based sodas is a trend in the soft drink industry that has taken place over the last few years. Small soda companies began to eat up a significant portion of the soft drink market.Several soda shops have popped up marketing small, independently-owned sugar sweetened drinks such as “Pop The Soda Shop” in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the “Soda Pop Stop” based in Los Angeles, California.

  • Money
  • Internet access
  • Telephone
  • Telephone book

    Find gourmet sodas

  1. Step 1

Locate soda stores using your telephone book or by visiting their website. In addition to the previously mentioned soda stores, a newly-opened soda store is now operating in Colorado called “The Fizz”. This store stocks over 900 different sodas which can be ordered on the Internet or by telephone. You can also visit The Fizz in person. Other pop stores include the “Soda Gallery” located in Dallas, Texas, and Durango Soda Company based in Durango, Colorado.

  2. Step 2

Browse the wide assortment of sodas online or in-store. Some of the sodas use real juice and at least one manufacturer’s soft drinks contain a low amount of alcohol (containing less than 5 percent alcohol) but are considered non-alcoholic.

  3. Step 3

Order your soda selections online or by telephone. Some consumer favorites include Fukola, Jolt brand sodas, Lenin’s Aid, Journey brand sodas, and Ginger Beer (which contains no alcohol).

  4. Step 4

Pay for your online purchase using a major credit card. You can also pay for most online orders by mailing a check to the respective retailer. Unfortunately, it is not cheap to ship soda bottles--which must also contain a lot of packing material to prevent breakage.

  5. Step 5

Receive your order and enjoy the old-fashioned taste of real sugar-sweetened sodas.
