GPS technology can help you find a lost cell phone.

Mobile phones have become so convenient and popular that even the majority of teenagers have one. It can be quite easy to misplace your mobile phone, just as you would your car keys. The good news is that mobile phones are easier to track than car keys. If you've lost your mobile phone, you should be able to find it in as little as five minutes.

Instructions

1. Call your mobile phone using another phone. Listen for the ring and follow it until you find your phone. While this is the most obvious way to track down the phone, it's not the only one.

2. Go to the PhoneTrace.org website to take advantage of the GPS system. This service will locate your cell phone at no charge. Choose your country from the drop-down menu, then type in your cell phone's number, including the area code. Click "trace it now." This service is especially useful if you haven't lost your phone at home. The service will tell you the vicinity your phone is in, which may jog your memory and help you locate your phone.

3. Call your cell phone company, which should be able to tell you where your phone is. Most mobile phone companies use GPS technology to do so.
