1. Give as much support as possible. If this means giving him a ride to practice or listening to his "new song" for hours on end, that's what it takes. Even the cockiest musician out there still wants his girlfriend's approval on a new tune.

2. Attend all his shows. Just being in the background at his shows lets him know that you care about him and you value what he is doing.

3. Don't let him walk all over you. Just because he may be talented does not mean he's any better than you are. There are a million groupies out there that would worship him and let him do as he pleases, but he's not dating any of them. He's dating you for a reason, so don't forget to be your own person and not get too caught up in the music world.

4. Tell him what you need. Communicate with him, telling him what your needs and wants are. Every relationship should have two sides. He should be just as supportive of you as you are of him.

5. Take some time together. Just because he needs the practice that doesn't mean he should spend every waking hour with his bandmates. Make sure that the two of you get some alone time to keep the relationship alive and well.
