How to Find Items to Sell on Ebay
Selling things on eBay is a great way to make quick cash. It's also a great way to clean the clutter from your house! And because eBay reaches a national audience of people who might actually be interested in your "Love Is" paintings, tie-dyed sundresses, or '90s-era banana clips, you'll generally be able to make more money than you would just by offering things at a yard sale.

1
Search your closet. This is the first place to start. Look for anything you own that's still got the tags on it. If you've had something for more than six months without wearing it, it's a great candidate to sell. Items that are new with tags generally get higher bids, so start there.

Look for non-clothing goods. The same principle applies for books, appliances, video games ... anything you've owned for six months without unwrapping or using even once can likely be turned into extra cash without you ever missing it.

3
Attack your unloved goods. Here's where you move on to the used stuff. Anything you haven't used or worn in a year deserves consideration. Chances are, if you haven't found any use for something in the past 12 months, you don't really need it -- but you might really need the money it could bring in!

Watch for sales. Once you've cleared out your house of salable items, it's time to look beyond. Here's where great sales at other stores come into play. Keep an eye on the Sunday paper for sales at electronics stores, sporting-goods stores, etc. When you find something on sale at a deep discount -- say, 50% off or more -- consider whether you could sell it for more than the purchase price on eBay. If you think the answer is yes, you might want to take the risk of buying it and "flipping" it for profit.

5
Look online. There are several online "good deal" sites that can point out similar bargains. Dealigg.com, for example, often highlights stores that are offering clothes, shoes, or electronics for free or almost free. If you can find a great price on an item that's in high demand, it's possible to sell it on eBay for more than you paid and make some cash in the process!

Tips & Warnings
There's no guarantee that things you buy specifically to sell on eBay will actually sell for a better price than you paid for them, so be careful! If you're a good bargain hunter, this can be a profitable enterprise, but nothing is guaranteed.
