Step 1
First, figure out the name of the airport you want to look up. Many areas have more than one airport, so "Washington," for example, won't be enough; you'll need to know whether you're looking for Washington Dulles International Airport or Washington National Airport.

You can also look up the airport code for a metro area. For example, while there are specific codes for Washington Dulles (IAD) and Washington National (DCA), there is also a code for all airports in the Washington, DC, metro region (WAS). This is helpful if you want to plan a trip to an area but don't have a preference about which airport you fly into.

Now you just need a place to enter your info. Yahoo! Travel is a great resource for this. You can enter the city name and the site will return all possible airports for that city.

If you have the code but need to know which airport it represents, try Webflyer's very simple interface, which asks you to enter the code and then returns the name of the airport.
