Ringtones give a phone some personality. You can set ringtones for each person on your phone or each group of people on your phone. Here is how to download ringtones on a cellular phone.

From Quick Guide: Cell Phone Ringtones
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cell phone with Internet access
  1. Step 1

Connect to the Internet with your cell phone.

  2. Step 2

Use your carrier's online store to find the ringtone you want to purchase and download.

  3. Step 3

Select the ringtone to purchase, and you should be given a link to navigate to you so you can click and download the ringtone.

  4. Step 4

Follow the link, and if prompted, click yes to save the file to your phone.

  5. Step 5

If you find the file online, and are sent a text message, follow the link in the text message via the web browser on your phone, and download the file to your phone.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some phones will not prompt you to start, or save the download. Be careful that you don't download the file more than one time, because you will get charged for your internet time.
  • You do not have to have a smart phone to have internet access for downloading ring tones. WAP Internet access works just fine, too. Many phones have this minimum capability.
