Instructions

    • 1

Remove existing window treatments including curtains and valances. Place the Halloween tablecloth over the existing curtain rod, folding it over the top. Fold it over enough to make a six to eight inch border at the top. Use a piece of chalk to mark where the fold is in the top. Remove the tablecloth from the rod.

    • 2

Cut the tablecloth in half, to make two curtains for the Halloween window treatment project. Place each half of the tablecloth on a table or on the floor. Attach the hook fasteners to the very top of each piece of the cut tablecloth. The hook fasteners will attach to the loop fasteners to create a strong closure, without having anything to sew together.

    • 3

Place the matching row of loop fasteners to create an insertion for the curtain rod. To do this, fold the top of the cut tablecloth over, using the chalk line as a guide. Repeat on the second piece of tablecloth. The curtain rod should easily slip through this wide opening, creating easy Halloween window treatments.

    • 4

Draw fun Halloween shapes with chalk on of the pieces of felt. Use Halloween images including crescent moons, pumpkins, candy corn, black cats, witches, candles and ghosts.

    • 5

Cut out each felt shape with scissors. Attach a hook fastener to the back of the felt shape. Place the loop fastener on the Halloween window treatment. Use a random pattern to create an interesting design. Stick the felt shape with the hook fastener onto the loop fastener to decorate the Halloween window treatments. Continue making felt shapes and attaching them until you are happy with the look of the Halloween window treatments.

    • 6

Glide the curtain rod through the top of each completed Halloween window treatment. Use a long piece of felt to tie the Halloween window treatments back from the window.
