How to Draw Pikachu

Drawing Pikachu will be easier than drawing a human body, but it still takes a little artistic skill in order to make it look exactly the way the character looks. Here are a few basic steps in order to get the grasp of how to draw Pikachu. It will require some coloring afterwards in order to completely see the character.

• Pencil
• Paper
• Yellow color crayon
• Red color crayon

How to Draw Pikachu

1. Draw an egg laying sideways. This will be for the head. In the middle of the egg draw a cross. This will be your guideline where you will draw the eyes and mouth.
2. Draw the letter w or an amateur bird near the bottom of the cross. You don't want to go too low otherwise you will draw the mouth were it will be mostly out of the face. Draw the bottom of the mouth drawing a half oval cirlce connecting to the w shape in order to finish the mouth. Once you do this, you will need to add a slanted line from left to downward right to make it look like his tongue.
3. Draw medium size circles at the end of each side of the horizontal line. The two circles will be the eyes. You can fill them in with a red color leaving little white circles at top part of the eyes. Draw two small circles. One circle at about one half an inch lower than the eyes. These are exaggerating the cheeks.
4. Draw a square directly below the face. Round off the edges. Draw a lightning bolt at the bottom right side for his tail. Continue the lightning bolt tail to where it comes back towards the bottom right. The tip if the tail will be wider than the bottom of it.
5. Draw cone shape ear on top right and left side of head. Draw a line inside the body on right side at an angle and make three jagged edges and then draw the line back up. This should like an arm. The other arm will be on the left side of the body. Draw a line on left side of body going up and out of body lines as though he's reaching. Draw three jagged edges and a line down to finish the arm.
6. Draw the feet. This will consist of a line being drawn down from the bottom of the body and three jagged lines and finishing with the line going back up to the body. Do this in both left and right side of the bottom of the body. Then erase any thing that cross over each other and erase the cross on the face. Color in Pikachu with yellow.
