How to Create an Email Address on aim.com

AIM is the most popular instant-messaging service in use today. As you will always have your AIM account open, you might as well get the bulk of your email there. Here are the steps you will need to take to sign up for an AIM email account.

Instructions

1. Visit the AIM home page.

2. Click on “Get a screen name” in the upper right corner of the screen. This will direct you to you a page that presents two options, “Create an account” and “Use an existing email address as a screen name."

3. Click “Create an account” and then the "Continue" button. This will bring you to another screen with information that needs to be filled in.

4. Enter the required information and click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen. Keep in mind that there are a lot of users on AIM.com and a lot of screen names are taken, so you may need to try a few times to find one that isn’t already in use. When you are successful, you will be directed to one more screen.

5. Click "Continue." Congratulations! You have a brand new AIM.com email address.

• Write down your AIM email address and password in case you forget them.

• It's recommended that you install AOL Instant Messenger after you get your AIM screen name. This will allow you to instantly talk to your friends, and you can set it up to buzz you whenever you a new email lands in your inbox.
