How to Make Jewelry Pendants

Women love jewelry; that is a known fact. Women love to have trendy items in their wardrobe. We like to have pendants, earrings and bracelets that match our outfits. Beaded necklaces have been around for centuries. Using an intriguing mixture of stone finishes and beads can make a necklace that is eye-catching and enviable to others. Here is how the make jewelry pendants that your friends and relatives will absolutely love.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two 20-inch strands of .018 bright nylon coated stringing wire; 12 inches of 26 gauge sterling wire; a small bag of approximately 30 carved stones; 1 small bag of around freshwater pearls; 1 small bag of 30 pearl seed beads; 1 small bag of 30 aventurine chips; 2 number two crimp tubes; sterling filigree clasp; round nose pliers, chain nose pliers and wire cutters.
  1. Step 1

    Begin making the stone pendant by stringing a 12-inch length of 36 gauge wire through the hole in the faceted stone. Twist the short end around the longer end two times. Cut off the shorter of the two wire tails with the wire cutters

  2. Step 2

    String a pearl onto the remaining wire. Create a look in the wire with the round nose pliers and wrap the end of the wire twice around the base of the loop. Trim off the excess wire with the wire cutters.

  3. Step 3

    String a 20-inch-length wire with pearl seed beads. Slide the pendant onto the pearl strand.

  4. Step 4

    String the remaining length of the wire with 17 3/4-inch aventurine chips.

  5. Step 5

    Attach both wires to the clasp with a single crimp tube and flatten it with a crimping plier.

  6. Step 6

    Crimp the tube a second time to fold it in half. Repeat the process to the other end of the wire to secure the other side of the clasp.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can choose what color of stones you want to use. The effect will be great because you will have made a necklace that it is unique.
  • This practice takes patience and a well lit area to work in.
