How to Be a Perfect Gentleman

You finally asked a beautiful woman out on a date and want to make a good impression so she’ll want to go out with you again. One of the things women love most is a gentleman. Being a perfect gentleman will make her feel special. Here are some tips on how to be a perfect gentleman on your date.

1. Knock on the door. When you go to pick up your date, don’t ever yell for her to come down or honk your horn. Knocking on the door shows that you cared enough to get out of your car, walk up to her front door, and knock.

2. Compliment her and present her with a flower. Tell her how beautiful she looks or that she smells good. Offer to help put her coat on. Wait for her to grab her keys and lock her door. Walk her down to the car.

3. When she approaches the passenger side of your car, open the door for her. Wait for her to get into the car and then make sure all clothing is tucked into the car. Close the car door behind her, giving her a smile as you do so. Be sure you open the car door for her when she gets in and out of the car.

4. Open all doors for her (with the exception of the women’s restroom door). When you walk into the restaurant or movie theater, open the door for her and let her go in first. Do not walk ahead of her and expect for her to catch the door on its way to closing.

5. At the restaurant, let her have a chance to look at the menu and let her order her own drink and meal. Do not order for her. Offer her a bite of your dish, but don’t ask for a bite from hers. If she offers and you want to try it, accept it graciously. Don’t expect for her to pay for the meal. Don’t ask for her to pay for half of it. Pick up the bill and pay for the meal. Don’t make a big deal about paying for the dinner. Don’t make comments on how expensive the meal was or how bad the food was. Smile and tell her you enjoyed dinner.

6. If you run into friends or family while out on your date, be sure to introduce her. Don’t carry on a conversation with your friends or family without acknowledging her presence. Keep the conversation short and get back to your date.

7. Drop her off at the door. Drive her home and open her car door. Walk her to her front door and give her a kiss goodnight. Don’t expect anything beyond that, unless she initiates it. Tell her you had a good time and would like to go out again. Make sure she gets into her home safely. Walk down to your car and don’t peel out on your way from her house.
