How to Attract a Gentleman

The differences between a man and a gentleman are as vast as the differences between a man and a boy. The distinguished title of “gentleman” need not come with age nor with fortune—a gentleman earns his title by the courtesy and charm with which he treats a lady. While it may be hard to imagine, there are a few eligible, distinguished gentlemen still available and if you know how to present yourself to him, you may be able to attract the gentleman of your dreams!

1. Act like a lady to attract a gentleman. Gentlemen prefer ladies of refinement and prestigious grace. A woman who acts vulgar, uses foul language, drinks heavily, or makes herself the center of attention for her own personal entertainment will not appeal to a real gentleman. A lady should be courteous and pleasant at all times because good manners and a ladylike attitude go hand in hand.

2. Dress with sophistication and style. If your style of dress leaves little to the imagination, you may catch the eye of a gentleman, but not his heart. Real gentlemen prefer ladies who dress with sensual sophistication that leaves much to the imagination. Choose a dress with a sexy slit in the side over a short skirt, or a backless dress over one that reveals too much cleavage. A gentleman will prefer that you reserve the more revealing attire for his eyes only.

3. Make eye contact to attract a gentleman and avoid coming on too strong. A few breathless seconds of direct eye contact will appeal more to a real gentleman than an uncouth display of sexual desire. Women who appear to be too eager convey themselves as sexually promiscuous and this will not petition the interests of a gentleman. Subtle clues to your genuine class will get you further with a gentleman than outlandish, attention-grabbing displays.

4. Let a gentleman make the first move. Acting too anxious will not attract a gentleman, but showing him your interest through direct eye contact and a slightly flirtatious grin will encourage him to make the first move. If he’s genuinely interested in you, he will approach you first.

5. Allow a gentleman to sweep you off your feet but beware of poseurs. Every man wants a woman to believe that he’s a gentleman; however, there are a few ways to tell if a man is genuine in his intentions. If a man makes sexual innuendos within a few hours of meeting you, he’s not a gentleman and he probably has other authorities governing his intentions. A gentleman will not look at other women when he’s with you, nor will he discuss the looks of other women in your presence. He will not ogle or fondle you when he first meets you and he’ll expect you to provide him with the same courtesy. If a man boasts about his money, his job, his postition in life, or the number of women he's been with, he is not a gentleman. A real gentleman will let his actions and reputation speak for themselves and he won't need to brag about himself to gain another's interest.Attracting a real gentleman requires a ladylike demeanor, impeccable class, and strict moral values that may take some time to learn if you’re unaccustomed to this kind of lifestyle. • To determine whether a man is a real gentleman, just take a look at his friends. Real gentlemen will not associate with unsavory, crude, or sexually promiscuous people.
