The constitution of the United States of America is there to protect the rights of Americans. If you have been discriminated against, you can file a complaint with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Below is how to go about filing a complaint with the ACLU.

  • Phone book or computer
  • Valid complaint (has to be something against the constitution)

      Look in your phone book or go on-line to www.aclu.org. When going on-line, scroll to the bottom and click on the tab “your local ACLU.” A map of the United States will come up; click on your state. The name of the executive director for your state ,as well as an email address, mailing address and phone number are provided.

      Call the number for your local office and tell them you would like to file a complaint. Give your name and address to the person you speak to. The forms will be mailed out to you.

      Fill out the forms when they arrive and mail them back to the ACLU. There is no set time for a decision to be made on your claim but, if you have not received a response in four weeks, call to see if your claim has been received.
