If you have been to a grocery store lately you can see that there are many options when buying orange juice. There are brands upon brands offering some pulp, lots of pulp and no pulp. Really it's a matter of choice, but if you are a fan of no pulp in your glass, here is a great way to make fresh squeezed pulp-free orange juice

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Oranges
  • Microwave
  • Very fine strainer
  1. Step 1

Take the oranges and microwave them on high for about 15 to 30 seconds depending on the power of your microwave. This will help get the juice flowing.

  2. Step 2

Remove the oranges from the microwave and roll them gently between your palm and the counter top. Be sure to rotate the orange so that you apply pressure equally to each part of the skin of the orange. This will help to remove the juice from the pulp.

  3. Step 3

Take a knife and carefully slice each of the oranges in half.

  4. Step 4

Grab the strainer and put it over a bowl. The bowl needs to be large enough to fit the strainer so that you do not lose any juice.

  5. Step 5

Use a juicer or your hands to squeeze all the juice out of each of the oranges and into the strainer. The strainer should get rid of most of the pulp. If some pulp manages to get through, just wash out the strainer and re-strain the juice until you have gotten rid of all the pulp.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have someone in your family that likes extra pulp, you can easily set aside the strained pulp and add it to their glass.
