Exercise is something that is important for everyone to do. But even after exercising, sometimes your stomach doesn’t seem like it’s getting a workout. However, with the invention of the ab swing, now you can work your core muscles and get the stomach you have always dreamed of. Setting up the ab swing can be tricky.

Find a spot for the swing. Before you begin setting up your ab swing to exercise, find a spot in your home where it will be convenient to exercise. You don’t want to set the swing up and realize you have no room to work out.

Unfold the machine. The ab swing is a small machine made up of legs, handles, and a seat cushion. When you receive the machine it will most likely be folded in half. Pull the seat cushion away from the legs to unfold it.

Press the handle push pin. On the handle is a push pin that is used for the handle release. Once you have unfolded the ab swing, press this push pin to release the handles so you can set them up where you would like them. Make sure you have the parts set up appropriately. The trademark named Ab Swing has a push pin to adjust the length of the swing and a push pin for the release of the handles. Push down on the Ab Swing to make sure the footrest in the front of the unit and the rear leg in the back of it are secure on the floor. Other ab swings have three legs that rest on the floor. If you have one of these units, make sure all three legs of the ab swing are secure. Test the weight of the Ab Swing a bit to make sure it is securely assembled.

Adjust the length. The bar coming out of the middle of the seat cushion controls the length of the ab swing. By using the push pins on the lower footrest extension, adjust the ab swing to the desired height. The trademarked Ab Swing comes with a video to show how to set the unit up and use it. Watch this video to make sure you have assembled it safely.

Test it out. After you have adjusted everything on the ab swing, sit in it and do some ab exercises. If the swing doesn’t feel comfortable, continue adjusting it until you are ready to do multiple sets of crunches. Tighten any bolts if anything appears loose. Different ab swings have different shapes, but all function and are assembled in basically the same manner.

Tips & Warnings

  • Once you set up the swing, you can move it to another location even after you have set it up. It is lightweight and portable.

  • The ab swing must be set up correctly, so you don’t hurt yourself when using it. If you are unsure if you put the swing up correctly, do not use it.
