How to Write a Company Brochure

A brochure is an ideal way to spread information about a company. Brochures are concise and easy to read, and designing an informative one can increase your business. Microsoft Publisher is a great tool to use when designing a brochure for a company. Publisher provides many brochure templates that will surely meet the needs of your organization. Read on to learn how to write a company brochure.

  1. Find a Brochure Template in Microsoft Publisher

      Go to "File" and choose "New" once you have opened Publisher. A box will appear on the left side of the screen.

      Click the arrow next to "Publications for Print." A list of types of publications will appear.

      Choose "Brochures." Several brochure templates will be displayed.

      Select a brochure template that best fits your purpose or theme. You can customize color and font styles later. You can even change the layout of a template a little bit to better meet your needs.

      Double-lick on the template and it will open on your screen. Choose whether you want a three- or four-panel brochure.

      Add in information about your company (see below).

      Use professional colors and graphics that present your company well.

      Make the brochure easy to read and follow by using headings, subheadings and a nice-sized, legible font. Try not to use a font that is smaller than 11 point or script fonts that can be difficult to read.

    What to Include

      Include the company’s name, logo and contact information on the front of the brochure. Make this information look as appealing and welcoming as possible to attract attention.

      Include a company overview on the panel that is seen immediately after opening the brochure. Include the organization's history or any other information that you want your readers to know.

      List all of the company’s services on the inside. Also on the inside, discuss the purpose of the brochure. Make it clear what the brochure is about. For example, are you focusing on a particular service or something new about the company?

      Explain how the company serves the community. What is its role?

      Inform the reader about any details or qualifications of employees that is important for them to know.

      Provide contact information and a course of action. What should readers do with the information that you are providing in the brochure?

      List any other relevant information. What do you want readers to know?
