The retailer offers benefits to employees such as health care coverage and discount cards that may be used in any Walmart store or club. It also offers perks such as an employee discount store and health club privileges in many areas.

      Allow yourself at least 30 minutes to one hour to complete the application. The Walmart application is somewhat in-depth. Before you begin the application process, ensure you will have ample time to complete it.

      Visit Walmart’s career center website. Here you will be able to browse available job listings and find out more about the company and the employee benefits plan. You will also be directed to the hiring center website, where you will be able to fill out your application.

      Read and agree to all the terms for the application. Before you can fill out the application, Walmart has some specific terms and conditions and you are required to provide your consent before continuing with the process. Read the terms carefully.

      Register for a username and password that is between seven and 11 characters long. The password should consist of capital letters, lowercase letters and numbers. Answer some security questions to help you to retrieve your password in the event you forget it or lose it. This will be used for you to track your application.

      Log on to the application using the username and password you just created.

      Verify your Social Security number.

      Create your personal identification number (PIN). It needs to be four digits, not in consecutive order and not from your Social Security number.

      Decide whether you wish to answer the questions about your sex and ethnic background. Answering these questions is optional.

      Identify your areas of interest. You will be asked which branch of Walmart you are most interested in working for, such as Walmart stores including Neighborhood Market, Sam’s Club or Logistics.

      Locate a facility near you. Now you will need to enter your city and state or simply your ZIP code.

      Choose the type of position you are interested in holding, such as professional, management or hourly.

      Select all the job groups you are interested in that relate to the position you selected.

      Enter the times and days you are available to work.

      List two references. These people cannot be relatives.

      Add employment history for the last 10 years.

      Explain your educational qualifications as well as special skills.

      Fill out the questionnaire.

      Pass the retail pre-employment assessment.
