Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A computer
  • Paint, or a similar program

Step1
Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard. When your screen contains the image that you want to capture, hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It will seem as if nothing has happened but you will soon see that it has.
Step2
Choose Edit, and then Paste. Open up MS Paint or a similar program (Paint can be found under Accessories in the My Programs section of the Start menu.) Choose 'Edit' and then 'Paste' (or hold down the Ctrl button and the V button at the same time) and your screenshot will appear.
Step3
Edit your screenshot as desired. You may want to crop it to focus on the part of the image that is most important.
Step4
Save the image and then upload it like you would any other picture. It's that simple!

Tips & Warnings

  • The Print Screen button is usually found in the upper right portion of your keyboard.
  • Holding down the Alt button while you hit Print Screen will capture only the active window.
  • In addition to using screenshots for the web, they can also be copied into documents.
