How to Melt Records to Make Bowls

Heat the oven to 200 degrees.

Place the pie plate in the oven. Set the jar in the center of the pie plate. Lastly, center the record album over the top of the jar.

Monitor the melting process carefully.

Allow the record album to droop down.

When the record has become limp and the edges have ruffled, take the pie plate, jar and record album out of the oven all together.

Allow the record bowl to cool and harden before taking it off the jar.

Tips & Warnings
Oven temperatures may vary, so time and experimentation may be needed.
You have a very short window of time to arrange the ruffles of the record bowl once it comes out of the oven. Try wearing gloves to avoid becoming burned.
