Things You'll Need:
- Canning jar lid and ring
- Scrap of off white felt
- Scrap of light pink felt
- Scrap of bright pink felt
- Scrap of green felt
- Pink embroidery floss
- Green embroidery floss
- Embroidery needle
- Small bead
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Craft glue
- Stuffing
- Dime
- Quarter
- Heavy book

Step 1
Using the lid for a pattern, trace a circle on the off white felt and cut out.

Using the quarter as a pattern, trace a circle on the light pink felt and cut out.

Using the dime as a pattern, trace a circle on the bright pink felt and cut out.

Step 4
Position the light pink circle on the off white felt a 1/4" from the edge. This will be the top edge of the design. Whip stitch around the light pink circle using two strands of the pink embroidery floss.

Position the bright pink felt circle on top of the light pink felt circle and whip stitch around the circle using two strands of the pink embroidery floss.

Step 6
In the empty space below your felt flower head, chain stitch a green stem from the bottom of the flower to the bottom edge of the off white felt using the green embroidery floss.

Step 7
Cut the green felt circle in half and position the halves along the flower stem for the leaves. Whip stitch the green felt leaves using green embroidery floss.

Step 8
Stitch the bead in the center of the flower.

Step 9
Turn the canning jar lid upside down and apply craft glue to the inside opening of the ring.

Step 10
Insert the appliqued off white felt circle upside down in the ring. Allow the craft glue to dry thoroughly.

Step 11
Fill the inside of the canning ring with stuffing.

Step 12
Hot glue the canning lid just inside the bottom of the ring. This does not need to be pretty, it will be covered up.

Step 13
Apply craft glue to the bottom edge of the canning jar ring and set it on a scrap of off white felt. Place a heavy book on top of the jar lid pin cushion and allow the craft glue to dry.

Step 14
Cut the off white felt flush against the edge of the jar ring.
