    Replace Motorcycle Seat Covers

  1. Step 1

Always follow the directions in the instructions when replacing your motorcycle seat covers. Each new seat cover comes with easy to follow installation instructions.

  2. Step 2

Do not remove the seat from your motorcycle. The benefits of seat covers are, you don't have to replace the entire seat just because your covers need replacing.

  3. Step 3

Remove the old seat covers by un-hooking them from the seat. Some basic motorcycle seat covers are made with an elastic band that fits over the seat and is held secure by the strength of the elastic. Usually motorcycle seat covers will also require some type of harness or buckle to hold them in place, but not always.

  4. Step 4

Replace the old motorcycle seat cover with the new one. Put the new cover on the same way you take the old one off, of course, providing it is the same style. Make sure to secure it properly to the seat, also making sure it is straight.

  5. Step 5

Attach the motorcycle seat covers to the seats using a four-point, hook-and-loop system. This affixes to the bottom of the seat temporarily for easy removal. The motorcycle seat cover can be removed and adjusted by running 4 nylon straps through metal loops on the underside of the cover.

  6. Step 6

Strap down thick wide motorcycle seat covers by drawing a cord beneath the seat and then permanently clipping it into a barrel lock on 2 of the provided hooks located on the other side. Hook and cord assembly is just one more way of attaching replacement motorcycle seat covers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use Sheepskin seat covers on your motorcycle to help cut down on vibration and fatigue during long rides. They also protect the seats leather or vinyl from the damage of the suns ultra violet rays.
  • The leather side of sheepskin is durable and the wool fleece enables you to slide across your seat with very little friction when mounting.
  • Some motorcycle seat covers are held on by nothing more than a sticky type vinyl bottom and can come off easily when mounting and unmounting. It doesn't hurt to attach your own type of strap and clamp system to a motorcycle seat cover that doesn't come with its own attachments.
