iTunes is not just for your iPod and downloading music. It is a full media program with many different functions. For example, you can also use it to make playlists and burn CDs as explained below.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iTunes with songs in the library
  • Blank CD
  1. Step 1

Be sure the songs you would like to burn are imported into your iTunes library. Whether it be via downloading music through iTunes or importing your favorite CD, music must be in your iTunes library to burn a disc.

  2. Step 2

Select the "File" button in the top left of your screen and select "New Playlist" from the drop-down menu. This will form a new playlist on the left-hand side of your screen. It will be untitled, so give it a name as desired.

  3. Step 3

Open the music library section of your iTunes by selecting the "Library" tab. When you know what songs you want to burn, select them and drag it to your new playlist. Repeat this step until you have all of the music you want on your playlist.

  4. Step 4

Arrange your playlist as desired by selecting individual tracks and dragging them to your desired order.

  5. Step 5

Insert a blank CD into your computer.

  6. Step 6

Select the tracks of your playlist and click on the button atop that says "Burn Disc."

  7. Step 7

iTunes will show you your progress and advise when the process is complete.

  8. Step 8

When it is done, you can eject your CD and listen to it wherever you like.
