Cushing Syndrome is a medical term which refers to a dysfunction in the endocrine system that results when a person's brain is exposed to certain hormones in the body for too long. The term “ectopic” simply refers to types of tumors that can cause the Cushing Syndrome, or other diseases like it, to manifest. People with symptoms may experience headaches, severe thirst, increased urination and in some cases, impotence.
